Five Portraits of Christ: Christ in Paul and the Gospels, led by Jason Merritt, PhD. How does Paul depict Christ in his letters? How did the Gospels come to be, and why did the church choose to canonize four Gospels instead of one? In this six week Lenten study, we will look at how the church’s memory of Christ was preserved and passed on in St. Paul’s letters and in the canonical Gospels, each with their own unique perspective on Jesus Christ. Meets 10:15-11:00 in the Guild Parlor.
