Youth Sunday School Starts Today, Sept 11
Sunday school classes begin for youth of all ages in both the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd and the Anglican Bible-in-Life program. We are most grateful for our dedicated teachers: Jacob and Elise Belk (High School); Cathy Conlin and Janice Magee (Middle School); Shelley Lowe and Charissa Christopher (Level II Atrium), Lisa Estes and Diane Klein (Level I) and Kristy Leaseburg and Mindy Plummer in our new First Year atrium. Thank you all for volunteering! Thanks also to Diane Lange for overseeing the children’s snack table again this year, as well as serving as substitute when needed. We have a great year ahead!
Adult Sunday Morning Class Resumes, Sept 11
Jason Merritt will begin a study of Ephesians in the Adult Sunday morning class starting Sept 11th. In his letter to the Ephesians, St. Paul paints a picture of a church that is truly one, holy, catholic, and apostolic. In this study we will explore what it means to participate in this mystery: how we are united with Christ and with one another in the new people of God, and how this unity is expressed in the church, in our homes, and in the world. The class will meet 10:15-11:05 in the Guild Parlor. All are welcome!
Fundamentals of the Anglican Faith, Sept 11
Fr Estes will lead a Sunday morning study from 10:15 to 11:00 looking at the principle beliefs and theology of the Anglican tradition. This ongoing program is especially suited for those new to the Anglican tradition and for adults preparing for Confirmation. Class will meet in the Green Room.
Thank You…
Thanks to all who donated toward the recent school supply drive. The items were delivered to Rosemont 6th Grade Center by Diane McCusker and Gerald Gregory, and the staff were delighted and very grateful!
